Just a FYI setting a background pattern and then utilizing a hi resolution Android device like a tablet causes the pattern to be tiled (if your lucky). I also found that the pattern is not re-sized completely across the higher resolution device large sections of black are visible down the left and bottom sides (portrait mode). It was necessary for me to layer the image myself to the bottom and size it.
