Unable to create a contact with email address.

I have been working on an app that needs to create a contact, from what I can tell the mobileAddContact function is the right choice to use. I can add phone numbers, names, alternate name and company; however I cannot add an email address (work or home). Does anyone know if this works with Android? The Dictionary says that it is supported but I can't get it working. I attempted to post the code, but the board won't allow me to do that. I get a message of "Your account does not have permission to post links or domain/page references."

I'm at a loss for what to try next, any help or direction would be appreciated.
