This App is Incompatible...

Post by joel.epsteinBUS31vi » Sun Nov 24, 2013 2:33 am

Hi all -

I've got my first LiveCode Android app loaded onto the Google Play store.

But here's an odd thing:

Even though I tested the app on my Android device (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 - GT-P3113 - running Android 4.1.1) prior to publishing it, when I locate it on Google Play, it says "This app is incompatible with your device."

Any idea why this would be and what I can do about it?

Thanks so much.

Joel

Hi Joel,
What is the size of your apk?

I read that this can be a factor.

My .apk is only 6Mb.

Do you think that would cause the problem?

I'd appreciate any advice you might have.

Peace.

No that shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure where to look next.

Edit: all your standalone settings correct like Minimum Android Version?

Yep, I have the minimum system version set to 3.0 - and my device is running 4.1.1. So that's not it.

I just don't know enough about the Android platform to know what to try next.

If it would help, here's the app:

Thanks so much.

It also depends on the screen sizes listed in the manifest, which by default allows them all. Have you ever changed the default XML file?

No, I haven't monkeyed with that either. It's just strange that I did the testing on this device, but now the store won't let me install onto it. Hmmm....

Thanks.

Joel
