problm in saving standalone application (.apk)

Hi,
i am testing a simple app "Hello world" but when i tried to save standalone application it's prompting an error "aapt.exe has stopped working"
while checking for the solution it is saying that there is an error and apk preparation failed.

Don't know what to do. My android device has android version 4.3. Is it necessary to install all the packages in sdk manager above this version for this to operate properly?

Install the Android 2.2 package, and any other OS package versions that you want to use for virtual devices. Install all available build tools (I don't know if they are all required, but I have them all.) Install the latest SDK Platform-tools and the Android SDK Tools.
