I am running on the Mac OS and I have installed Android Studio LadyBug 2024.2.1.

I have downloaded the required SDK but get the following error when I go to preferences and select the SDK root

I have installed

Hi mcrhino,

sorry for being so late for the party, but I found the solution, at least for me for the same probem, just today.
Actuyll this is in the LC tutorial, but obviously I overlooked this somehow.

Open Android Studio
Open "Settings" -> SDK Manager
Click on "SDK Tools"
UNCHECK "Hide Obsolete Packaged" and "Show Package Details".
Then you should see what is in the screenshot.
CHECK "Android SDK Tools (Obsolete)" and
Click "Apply" and/or "OK"

After Android Studio has finishe downloading its stuff, go to the LC Preferences and try again.
Fingers crossed, this fixed it for me!

Best

Klaus

Hello Klaus,

Now it's Februari 13. I'm on a Mac M1 Max , OS X 26.2 (Tahoe).
Installed Android Studio Panda
Installes Java 11.030

I had the same issue, but your fix worked!

Thanks!
