VST as standalone or as plugin or other format for win/mac

Hello,

what would really be awesome is to be able to use VST or AU or directx audio, but best is VST.
So to be able to write plugins or standalones to use in music DAW's like cubase or any other VST capable host.
Like you can in for example Synthmaker/Flowstone or Synthedit.
As these 2 competitors are near death (allthough Synthedit is still in development for over 2 years now to be 64bits) and Flowstone does completely nothing to keep it's users to make any progression on the musical parts.
It would be a very good step if something like this could be implemented.
I think a lot of people would jump over to Livecode.

Thanks!

Yup: and what about Native Instruments as well?

This is where the problem starts: everybody has their pet formats, and there is absolutely no way
RunRev can keep everybody happy all the time.

well most Native Instruments can be used as VST
Vst can be used on many many DAW's on PC and MAC, NI is one brand whith their own patches and so on, not supported by any other brand or software
VST is used by many if not all Digital Audio Workstations, all sample software, almost all audio edit software

thus supporting VST can be much more interesting than just a brand with their patches. Yes Steinberg created it but any other daw uses it :)
