Does multi-select work in the app browser?
Does multi-select work in the app browser? ( I searched the forum and didn't see anything on this )
Clicking the 10th control in the app browser then shift clicking the 20th control should select controls 10 through 20, right?

Steven,
On my machine I cannot multi-select in the Application Browser. I'm curious, what are you trying to do?

Steven- no, it doesn't work that way. It would be nice if it did.

Re: Does multi-select work in the app browser?
Walt,
I was trying to select several dozen items that I wanted to put in to a group. I also sometimes have the need to select many items to delete them.
Thanks for confirming that multi-select is not available in the app browser.

It works. You need to Command-click on each line. (Probably Control-click on Windows.)

Hi Jacque. I could not get it to multi select in Win7 4.6.4 with any key combo I tried. Is it a Preferences setting maybe?

Just tried it here, win 7, 4.6.4, multi-select (crtl-click) works for me. (only in the right pane, no multi-select in the left.)
Looked, but haven't noticed a preferences setting that controls this behavior.

Ahh, yes, I was trying in the left hand window.

Re: Does multi-select work in the app browser?
I should have been clearer in my post. I was aware that CTRL-Click worked. I was trying to avoid using CTRL-Click for 20 contiguous items.
Thanks for checking though.

Re: Does multi-select work in the app browser?
Yes, that's right.
The ctrl-shift-click I think is called the extended-multi-select with MS.
Where the ctrl-click is multi-select.
And it bugs me as well that the Application Browser in the LC IDE doesn't take advantage of this.
But RR seems to want to make a point that LC doesn't follow MS standards.
Often much to my shagrin.
