Suggest everyone involved with Rev watch
these videos. Some great ideas. And what
about the graphics? Wow!
If only tabs in Rev were as easy as with the
programme!

Some ideas for Rev?

Some ideas for Rev?
Life is just a bowl of cherries.
The cool thing with revolution is anyone can make add-on's to the IDE.
If you really want something revamped it will be faster to build your own. It is easy to realize in a short or long term that most feature request are never added. (They focus on things that address more wide spread users, like updating the product to work with new operating systems and such things.)
Revolution makes it pretty easy to add on anything custom that anyone would want. It is pretty cool consider how many other similar development products keep the IDE closed to custom add on's.
I know such things would be nice to see as IDE additions. (I just would not hold my breath, if I really want something added like that. I would take the time to make my own, that way I know it will be done and work right for me.)

Take a careful look at the taskbar in the video. Note the Visual Studio Icon for this SiteBuilder builder. Looks like he hasn't even compiled it yet, he is running right from VS. This entire thing is made from vendor bought (and very expensive I might add, I recognize a few) Visual Studio components. Nothing innovative here, that skin is even purchased as is the sudo "ribbon" interface.
Nothing against it, just nothing innovative to see here except the innovation of high dollar Visual Studio component makers.
I personally don't use Revs tabs, I like to use square buttons with color changing tricks, and draw a line across the bottom to make them tab like. Rev being stack based means tab functionality is already built in, so I doubt there will be any priority put on a new tab control.
I do wish there was a way to get the background color of it to work in XP standalone, It seems off-white is all tabs can be if you use the revs control.

keyless
Perhaps that explains why it runs so slowly.
But anyway my point was the look of it.
Some graphical improvements are promised
in the next version of Rev so we'll just have to
keep our fingers crossed.
Like your tip on using buttons instead of
tabs. Thought of putting something up at
RevOnline to demonstrate your work-around?
