Dear Livecode Team,

It Will Be Mp3 Support Direct To Audiofiles Inside Livecode? yes is so boring use quicktime, yes , because no anybody use it as default sound system....and so if it will be mp3 support the size of stack will be more little and optimized...

And I wonder me ....Why in Android There's the Support of Mp3 and Inside Livecode5.5 Not??????? This is a ambiguous....I hope you implement this function as soon as possible...

Buongiorno Lestroso,

well, we have been asking for YEARS for a complete rework of the multimedia engine of LiveCode
and independence of QuickTime, but it is still uncertain if, when and what will be changed in the future.

Over the years I made good experience with AU sound files, which can be played with the "play" command
on all platforms, and since this is a compressed format, maybe you could use this format for internal sounds
instead of MP3 which always requires QuickTime?

For short sounds (crash, woosh, boom, bang etc. ) this may be an altenative.
But again, like everything with "play": only ONE sound a a time.

I thank you very much klaus for your fast answer and for your precious Tip&Tricks....I hope that Livecode will update like have you told me the engine for play the mp3 files ...ok i will use the au format....but this is very boring....

I have noticed another big bug of Livecode.....

If i play multiple audio files in format "au" the last stop all before files are playing, in other words the audiofiles in au format is not multichannel for multiple audiofiles plaing toghether.....This is too important to let get away....Livecode must fix it in no time, because is too important!!!

No Body Can have quicktime installed!!!! So please Fix It as soon as possible...Thanks livecode team....
