First question (probably dumb): is there anywhere we can go to learn more about Ver 6-DP?
Second: Is there implicit support for the Microsoft Surface (ARM)? I'm continuously amazed at how Microsoft can release buggy products which are panned by consumers and the press, yet enterprise says "oh, ok, we'll take 10,000 of those please" ... great business model if you can pull it off.

Hi Allen,
allengwinn wrote:First question (probably dumb): is there anywhere we can go to learn more about Ver 6-DP?
this requires to be part of the "Developer Program", which is 199,- $/year!

Sorry, no idea...

I have a Complete subscription. Is the developer program included?

Yes its included, you can most likely go into your account (
http://www.runrev.com/store/) log in, view your products, and download any available dp, rc versions. Also, if you haven't done so you can join the livecode-dev list. I think this is the correct address..
http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/livecode-dev
There you can discuss the NDA stuff.
http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-livecode is also available to everyone. Very helpful list.

I have a project that I would like to use LiveCode, but need SHA-256 in order to interact with a REST API on a server. According to WikiPedia this algorithm is part of SHA-2 and I believe we only have SHA-1 with the current LiveCode release. I do not see where it would be feasible to try to depend on third-party software which would add unnecessary complexity/overhead or trying to cobble together something SDKs that are platform specific along with LiveCode.

Hi,
What does your question have to do with Microsoft Surface?
Did you do a search for "sha" already? There is even a thread dealing with searching for sha!
Kind regards,
Mark
