Open Source directions

Not really a feature request.. Ok maybe it is. Would it be too much of a pain to add a forum for discussing ideas for lc once it is open source? (crosses fingers) Or how potential issues might be addressed to accomplish a goal?
For example, I'd like to figure out a way to integrate the LC IDE into a linux distribution so that LC stacks can be used for widgets, easy front ends for various command line utilities, etc. It could be used to create an app launcher, with drag and drop to add applications.. and.. well lots of stuff. But, since LC is single threaded, should the attempt be made to go multi-threaded, or should standalone engines be used for various functions but in such a way that they "speak" to each other? (so that if a programming error causes a lockup it doesn't take the whole thing down)
I think it would be amazingly helpful to have a distribution where laml was installed (linux, apache, mysql, livecode-server) where the GUI was tweakable using the same language, and where full apps could be built for linux, win, mac, android, all using the same language. And for IOS too if a mac is available for final building and testing.
