Include the ability to program other languages such as .NET or C++ directly into revolution without making custom libraries, and include support for WMI as well.

Hi,

I really object to this feature request. The whole point of Revolution is that it is NOT C++ and .net. If one wants to use a different language as the main language, use .net or xcode. Otherwise, the do statement and externals should be sufficient.

Best,

Mark

Hi,
however it would be nice to have an option to create/edit/compile C++/C/etc.. code for externals creation, so that when one builds an external it could be done and tested in same environment without a need to load MS Visual Studio or whatever else. Plus some external-specific syntax hiliting, code checks and help to speed up external creation and ensure that you do not miss anything. This could be a feature of Revolution Enterprise :-).

Viktora,

I strongly disagree. It might be nice to compile Transcript as an external, similar to the way CompileIt! did it. Being able to compile C++ in Revolution sounds very wrong to me.
