Provide a repository for open source livecode apps

With the availability of the open source edition of LC I would expect quite a number of open source LC apps to come into existence. Each of them needs to make their source code available.

It would be really nice to have one recommended/preferred location for these apps, and make it very inviting to use it.
Maybe it could be part of revOnline, maybe a separate area.
It would be helpful to have this publishing function built into the open source edition of LC as a menu option, so that it would be the most convenient way to fulfil this requirement.
And besides the rating function that's build into revOnline, provide the option to leave comments if the app author enables them for their app.

I would expect that having more and more open source LC apps in one place would be useful for LC developers, and support the further adoption of LC and and growth of the community.

I had once started down this road with RevNet, but then RevOnline quickly became the central watering hole. Now that LC's open source, I would expect RunRev do overhaul RevOnline to fit the current needs, much as you describe.

Given all on their plates right now I can't say when that'll happen, but if you have time to poke around in the RevOnline scripts to familiarize yourself with the lay of the land you may be in a good position to contribute to its update once that begins.

Recently RevOnline has been a bit "dicky" so it needs an overhaul in many ways.

I did "poke around" a bit, and I found it rather overwhelming.
Maybe it's because I started with LiveCode less than two month ago...
My respect to whoever coded all of this. :-)
