Would be handy if the text editor
had a button to apply and close with
one click rather than the present
inconvenient arrangement which
requires a click on "Apply" and
another on a rather small "X" button
to close the window.

You can use the "enter" key ( or cltr-Return) to apply, and again to close the script editor.
