As far as I can figure out LiveCode can't access the NFC functionality in modern Android devices.

What I'd like to do is to have a user wave an Android device over an RFID tag (I can source tags from a local supplier), the device reads the tag and my LiveCode app on the device meshes with the native NFC 'module' to get at the data from the tag - from there onwards it would be pure LiveCode processes. But the thing I'm asking for now is the accessing the local communication between the tag and the device ... is this of interest to anyone else?

Did anything ever come of this feature request? I am working on applications for museum exhibits. It would be great to have RFID tags interact w/ apps running on smartphones….
