Livecode extension

Hi,
why this forum doesn't accept the .livecode and .rev extensions for attachments?
Zipping and unzipping my stack.livecode every time is a loss of time and newcomers don't understand. Moreover on Mac the zip program add strange folders like .DS_Store or __MACOSX and other operating system users can't understand that they aren't of livecode.

Max's question is a good one, though, so I became curious if it was an actual file thing, or just a name thing. I took a script with a livecode extension, and simply changed the extension to something else (works in email, figured why not).
Upload file dialog wrote:
The extension text is not allowed.
The extension livecode is not allowed.
The extension pdf is not allowed.
[stack with gif extension]
It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image.
In the end, I just changed ".livecode" to ".zip", and it uploaded no problem, but I can see issues with people who skim-read and download something like that. Caveat emptor, I think the warning to change the extension back should be enough
- routineTester.zip
- This one is just renamed, change 'zip' to 'livecode' to look.
- (4.24 KiB) Downloaded 251 times
Another funny thing I found was that actually zipping the file left livecode in the name, and it uploaded
just because .zip was added, go figure.
I also can't figure out why you wouldn't be able to just upload the stack directly Max, after all the stacks weigh in at what, 10s of kb ? but ultimately you might want to just host it and link it or add .zip to it, cause this board don't like nothing but images and .zip

Please, can you advice LCNeil
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=49683 of this?
He usually works on forum settings.
Best regards
Max
