attachment types

Couldn't find a better place to post this:

I tried to post a .livecodescript file as an attachment and got an error message that this wasn't an allowed type.
WTF?

First of all, what are the allowed types?
Second, why isn't .livecodescript on the list?
And... what can be done to fix this?

Heh, this has actually come up before. For scripts, just zip them and then attach is the correct answer, however, often just renaming it will work as well. Of course, great hilarity can ensue if you take that 2nd option, and don't mention it just has to be renamed back (and sometimes even when you do)

As to the -
... what can be done to fix this?
the answer is nothing, that is the desired outcome I was told.

thanks - I know I can zip and post, and that's what I'll do, but sheesh.

Well, the answer I got was something along the lines of scripts being live code that could be exectued and like that.

I tried looking for a way to allow .livecode and .livecodescript to the list of acceptable file types, but I don't see in the PHPBB Admin settings where that happens. Searching their help forums didn't turn up anything relevant. Anyone here have any tips with PHPBB on this?

I think you might want to check with HQ before finding it, Richard, they were the ones that told me it is as it should be.

Here's what I came up with:

Thanks, but that was one of the ones I'd found earlier. When I log in I have no "Posts" tab. Maybe permissions, maybe versions, I dunno. I'll ask Heather.
