Tcl/Tk external

Hello!
Given the *very* limited capabilities of the field control (compared to Tk's text widget) I would like to see a Tcl/Tk external.
I would even try to implement it myself if anybody could tell me how I get the platform-specific window ids/addresses (no, not those from Transcript, but the native ones)
I would then try to embed Tcl and Tk (the text widget, at least) into Revolution Studio (I did something similar several years ago for another programming language)
