Pipes

Hello Everyone.
I was recently reading up an article on Wikipedia about Named Pipes and I was wondering if Rev can make use of pipes in the operating system in the next version. I ask for this because I have noticed that pipes seem to be an easy way for applications to communicate with each other in the local as well as remote system in Windows, Mac and Unix systems alike.
Additionally I have noticed in a VB application I created which makes use of pipes in order to communicate with its server counterpart running on another system and they seem to be very efficient at their job and I reckon Rev could benefit from this in a client/server environment.
PS. I just found out about the graphics effects in Rev 4, OMG
I couldn't imagine living without drop shadows now.
