Have "Import" leave the long ID in the "it" variable

Hi!
Some of the commands, like "clone", have created a "standard practice" of leaving identification information for a newly created object in the "it" variable. I suggest that would be useful as well for the "import" command. I understand how to get that information through scripting and that the name of the new imported object is set to the file name, but it could be made a bit less cumbersome if the long ID of the new image is in the "it" variable after "import".
