Can LiveCode be used to generate applications for the Barnes and Noble Nook Color?

Well a quick google seemed to imply that the "Nook Colour" is Android based

Seems like it supports Android 2.2 and possibly 3.0
So in priciple I would say a tentative Yes, but keep in mind that the Android development pack is in Beta, I think someone with more Android experience should comment now.
RunRev if you are reading this, it might be worth getting a Nook (Maybe whilst you are out runRevLive 2011
) and having it as a development machine?

I have a Nook Color myself...great little device, major issue is lack of Applications currently.
LiveCode would probably do well on it, however currently it is not a sanctioned development platform for it.
Adobe Air, MONO, PhoneGap, Android SDK, Corona, and Unity are the only supported frameworks.
I cannot post the link but there is a list of supported frameworks on the Nook Color Developer website.

The latest Nook update installs version 2.1 of Android on the Nook, leading me to believe that the Nook is definitely a viable platform for LiveCode developed apps.

In general I believe you would have to submit your app to B&N for review and Nook users can only download apps from the B&N App store.
I'm going to see if I can find someone with a Nook to do some testing. Might even pick one up for myself and try it out. I will let everyone know my results.

I just installed the B&N SDK and tried to deploy an Android LiveCode app to the emulator that gets installed. Unfortunately I receive this error:
Installation of App Failed (Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK)
Looking at the Android AVD it appears that the B&N SDK is at API level 7 rather than API level 8. So overall it looks like we might have to wait a little till B&N upgrades their API to level 8.
