FR: Guidelines and better rulers

Live Code's interface is amazingly good, but it is missing one very important tool. Guidelines. Every GUI or photo program has them. Guidelines, along with snap to grid, are key to attractive interfaces. Please add the ability to drag guidelines onto the IDE. Also, the rulers are just too funky to be useable. They need to be INSIDE the window, not outside, and they should attach cleanly. At least for me, they flicker and move about when a window is moved or scaled.

For snap-to-grid, see Preferences->Appearance, labeled "Grid Spacing".

Not the same thing. I tried using it and found it impossible to use. I am a graphic design artist and we need tools like guidelines to do what we do. The ability to drag guidelines onto the window for snap and placement purposes is tactile. I don't want to just align stuff.

Yeah, I didn't use it enought to have to keep moving it out of the way everytime I started LC.
So I stopped using it.
Not sure what your after then.
But would appreciate any type of enhancment to improve my efficiency.

If you have ever used Adobe Pagemaker, Serif Pageplus, Corel Draw or a bunch of other design programs, they all have guidelines to help you be more accurate in your placement of shapes and other actions. It would work very well in Live Code's design portion of the program.
To me, it's simply a missing feature that should be there.
