Hi All,

Welcome to the engine contributors forum. If you are interested on working on the LiveCode engine this is the place for you. It is the place to discuss engine development ideas with other community members, flesh out the approach you are going to take and find people to collaborate with.

Before posting we would recommend reading the contributors guide: http://www.runrev.com/links/livecode/contribute/

Once you have a firm idea of what you would like to do and have discussed it on this list we recommend subscribing to our engine contributors mailing list. This is for:

1) Developers who would like to show their development plan to RunRev engine development staff for feedback
2) Developers who are actively coding in the engine and have questions
3) Developers who have finished a project and wish to submit a pull request (Git)

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I know I'm being a bit eager but... where is the engine contributors mailing list and how do I sign up? (I've seen the bit about emailing for write access). Haven't seen the list on the list server yet.

Information on subscribing to the email list on the contributor page that Ben linked to.

Oh wait, I guess it doesn't have the subscription information for the list. I just emailed the address provided and asked for post access so I didn't think about actually signing up for the list first
