Hello,
I am just looking for a way to build an "app" that when you launch the app it just goes straight to a website. I have messed around a little with buttons in the LiveCode and can get them to go to a webpage. But what I am really looking for is, for example, after the app gets installed on the phone you would see an icon with our company logo. You launch the app and it just opens a browser and goes to our website.
Can this be done in LiveCode?
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Welcome to the forum!
Sure it can be done in liveCode, did you want to use a browser in the app or the native browser?
Now way further on when you are submitting the app to the Apple store you may get stopped. Apple may not allow it, they have some minimum functionality(?) level.
We have a well know coder (Andre) here who's app was rejected because it just showed the traffic level on 2 local bridges.

Re: Simple URL launch
Thanks for the welcome Simon.
I think either would work for what I am trying to accomplish. I guess if we used the browser in the app, it might appear more refined in that it doesn't just open a native browser.
Thanks again,
Dan
