Good Morning!
My first app, created with LiveCode 9 5 1 works perfectly on a smartphone with Android 8
When I install and start the same app on a tablet with Android 5 1, only a black screen appears. I noticed that the problem has already been dealt with in this forum. Unfortunately, I have never been able to find a solution anywhere.
Can someone kindly help me?
Sincerely yours
Antonio Umberto Riccò

It may be that the setup for LC 9 isn't compatible with an Android version as old as 5.1. If you can find the forum post where the problem was solved and install the setup in use at the time, that may fix it. If so, you'd need to build with the compatible version of LC. You'd lose any newer LC features you're using though.
I don't have any devices running 5.1 so I can't test it. I can look at the forum solutions though if you link to them here.

Re: Black screen with Android 5 1
Hello aricco54,
It might be worth experimenting with the "acceleratedRendering" property (see dictionary).
Also, the problem might be specific to the device, since last time I checked in a Nexus 4 device running Android 5.1 it worked as expected.
What device is this?
Kind regards
Panos

Hi there!
Many thanks to jacque and LiveCode_Panos for the answers. However, I decided to use an Android 9 tablet because I couldn't find a solution.
Best regards!
Antonio
