Installing in OSX Monterey

Post by Pistris » Tue Nov 02, 2021 4:55 pm

Hi guys

I just bought a new MacBook Pro with the m1 chip
The laptop comes with OS Monterey installed
I installed livecode 9.6.4 without problems but I can’t install Xcode 12.5
The only version that runs is 13
How do I go about this problem?
Y tried searching threads for this issue but couldn’t find none

Thanks in advance

Edd.

Hi Edd,

well, Montery does not support version of Xcode < 13, so you are out of luck here.
You need to:
1. wait for a LC version that supports Xcode 13 or
2. downgrade to macOS Big Sur and use an earlier version of Xcode.

Best
