How difficult to learn?
I am reasonably proficient in Supercard (not a master of it, just able to get along). How difficult would it be to learn Rev. compared to that? I have the idea that the language is similar but no experience with it so far.
Thanks,
Richard

The language is similar and I bet you could use a lot of your supercard code.

Re: How difficult to learn?
In my experience as a user and a trainer, the learning curve often goes something like this:
Day one: "What the hell is going on? Why doesn't anything work like I expect? I hate this damn thing."
Two days: "Omigawd, the potential is incredible! If only I knew how to use it all..."
One week: "After reading the language guide and trying some things out, I'm able to do truly productive work."
One month: "Now I can do productive work efficiently."
Three months: "With the flexibility of the language and the handy tools in Revolution, I'm seeing slightly greater productivity than in my formerly-favorite tool I'd used for years."
Six months: "I love this thing."
One year: "I love this thing like no other."

Hi rpitcairn,
And welcome.
I come also from supercard and i'am a frenchy user and I have difficulties of understanding in English
I'm very happy with Revolution
You can lean on the generosity and the availability of the participants of this forum
Still thanks to them for what they taught me
