Interactive textbook

Post by Isha » Sun Feb 13, 2011 2:50 am

Can LiveCode be used to create something like an interactive textbook? Not just a single application, but kind of like HyperCard that I once used on a Mac years ago. Where you can page through it, an you click on activities for each page, or enter answers to questions, it checks the answers, has problem sets, links to background information for teacher to read, ways to put in small activities involving moving things around and typing things in, depending on the lesson, and so on.

Thanks much. I have all these ideas and knowledge for teaching something, but not much programming knowledge. A bit, I learned Pascal years and years ago and took classes. This was before object oriented programming. I did some projects in Hypercard years and years ago, before kids and a full-time job, and I started looking for something similar to work on my education project in my not so spare time. I don't want to have to spend a lot of time learning how to program again. I will give this a try.

Isha,
I am interested in your interactive book ideas.
I am a family physician and have consdiered making patient education material interactive.
Sounds like a similar project.
