adding a greater than to an if statement

Hi all,
this may sound silly but I just cant seem to get a bit of code to work so that it works when the score is equal to or greater than 5000...the code is:
--

if field "scorefield" is > 5000 then
go to card "liver intro"

--
but the ><= signs bring back errors.

can anyone help please
