Tutoring / Training for LiveCode

Hi!

I am urgently looking for someone who may be able to train / tutor me. I am developing my own LiveCode app for iPhones and Android devices. It is a fairly simple app that I am trying to develop.

Please note that I have never done any programming myself. I am a quick learner though, and I've been learning from the tutorials and the lessons. It is going fairly well, considering that I have never done anything like this before. However, I am getting stuck now that I started coding and I really need some help from someone I can talk to.

Ideally, what I would be looking for is to have a 30 minute talk with someone on a daily basis, where I could ask questions, discuss the scripts I created, troubleshoot problems, etc. Talking in the early morning would work better for me. It could all be done remotely (sharing screens, accessing my computer remotely, using skype, etc. (PLease note that I live in the UK)

I am in a bit of a hurry to get the app ready and submit it to the App store as soon as possible. So I am ready to start immediately.

Please let me know if you can help me and then we'll figure out a way of connecting (and discuss how much you'd charge me per session). Thanks!

Thanks!

I used to provide LiveCode training regularly, and still do for a few clients with specific needs, but RunRev has been expanding their learning options so broadly that it's killed off most of that business for me. :)

Not that I mind. It's good to see them gaining new users at the rate they have been, and my friends and clients who've taken advantage of RunRev's LiveCode Academy sessions report very good things about them.

You may want to drop a note to support@runrev.com to find out when the next Academy series will happen.

And in the meantime, the tutorials here are pretty good, and organized topically so you can start with items of special interest to you:

If you still want individual training I'd be happy to discuss that with you - feel free to drop me a note at ambassador AT fourthworld.com

And it will still be useful to pose questions here. You may already know how eager this community is to help.

Thank you Richard and Craig, and apologies for the delay in replying.

I have now found someone who will help me, starting tomorrow!

Richard, I will get in touch with you by email as I may need your help and advice once the app is ready to be put together for the App store.

Craig, thanks, yes, it is a very helpful community.

Take care,
Hector
