I don't need to actually manipulate the pdf; I just want to take a pd form that is covered with boxes and import the lines as fields (or even rectangles). Getting the text would be nice, sure, but not important--it's the measurement of the boxes that I really care about.

This isn't *quite* a one-off, but it will only need to be done every couple of years as the forms that I must match change.

Does it help if I somehow import it into openoffice draw? I also have adobe acrobat pro 8 for Macintosh.
