playing audio file compatible in Ipad

Hi,
I have a problem playing a audio file when I start using the simulator.
I use the function play 'filename.aiff' if im not using simulator it works fine but when I try to work in the simulator, There is no sound at all.
anybody who could help me?
what I want to happen is
on mousedown
play audio here
end mousedown
and it must be compatible or work in ipad.
