I have never participated in a usenet group before.
What would you recommend as the simplest reader to use (on a Mac)?
Ease of use is the main criterion.
Thanks,
Sri.

use-livecode is not a Usenet group, but an email discussion list.
Subscription info is here:

You can also view the archives through a web interface
http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.ide.revolution.user
and post once your address has been approved.

IMO, the gMail interface is the simplest way to peruse the email list, due to the threading capabilities it offers. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks, people!
Yes, I do subscribe to the email group and look at the digest now and again, but find it difficult to follow.
Thanks mwieder and doc for the web interfaces; the gmane.org one seems especially easy to use and has a threaded layout. I think I'll give it a go.
Regards,
Sri.
