Compiling for iPhone version

Post by WarrenW » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:17 pm

Hi everyone,

I am new here and will be downloading the demo version fro Windows 7 tonight. I heard from support that if I want to release a version for the iPhone that I need to use a mac to do this. I do not have one. So one question is can I install this program on a mac using MacInCloud website where you basically rent a mac remotely? Eventually I want to buy a mac of my own but to get started I wondered if this would work. I guess I need to make sure with MacinCloud that I can install additional programs on the mac.

Thanks,

Warren

*Very* interesting. I hadn't heard of macincloud before.
Yes, you'll need access to a mac - LiveCode needs to integrate with the proper Xcode version in order to produce iOS apps. You'll also need the proper Apple certifications, of course, but it looks like macincloud gives you your own space on a virtual server to install your user certificates. LiveCode would need to be installed in your virtual space and licensed to you, and you'd have to configure it to point to the Xcode installation, but it looks promising.
