Wiki for documentation ?

Post by MagicFab » Fri Apr 19, 2013 1:00 pm

Hello,

Given the recent release of LIveCode as free open source software, I was expecting to find a gew resources like a Wiki and IRC channels for self-help / community documentation.

Have those been setup yet? In any case I'd like to help with that, if RunRev is not providing such space/resources I ask to set them up as a team within the LibrePlanet infrastructure of the Free Software Foundation. I am waiting for an answer from them, if anyone else (or RunRev of course) has ideas about this I'd love to hear them.

Current user documentation does not seem to be freely licensed and seems outdated (2010), and I keep landing on dead-ends for basic documentation (installing, uninstalling, etc.), so this would probably help get more people using the community edition and ultimately, better support for everyone involved (including commercial support).

Ideas?

It finally found the code on Github, by looking at the FAQ.

Github can provide a wiki space but it hasn't been activated for the livecode repository.

Could someone at RunRev please enable this functionality?

Thank you!

Since I needed this rather quickly, I started using FSF's LibrePlanet infrastructure for this.

I've created a new LibrePlanet LiveCode users group, feel free to join and conrtibute.
