Installing plugins

Post by ianpiper » Thu Jun 20, 2013 11:18 am

HI,

I followed the lesson here (link to your page that I'm not allowed to post goes here) to install the revMobGUI.livecode plugin. I set the location of plugins in LiveCode's preferences to ~/Documents/My LiveCode/Plugins, closed LiveCode, deleted the preferences file ~/Library/Preferences/RunRev/livecode.rev and started LiveCode again. If I look in Development/Plugins I don't see the plugin. Can you suggest what might be wrong? BTW I have also installed the CalendarPane plugins in the same location and they don't show up either.

Thanks,

Ian.

Hi Ian,

This is correct.

Well, this isn't :-D

You need to point Livecode again to your personal Plugin folder, quit and restart WITHOUT deleting the prefs!

BUT: Are you using the (free) Community Edition of Livecode?
In that case you are out of luck, since this version will NOT open password protected stacks and I am afraid "MOBGui"
is in fact password protected so you cannot use it with the free Livecode version.

No idea about CalenderPane.

Best

Klaus
