I have copied the Datagrid Helper into the Runrev plugin folder. What must I do to get to the Datagrid Helper preferences screen to activate it.

Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

Hi Peter,

1. welcome to the forum :-)

2. Are you using the Community version of Livecode?
In that case you are out of luck!

The Open Source Edition cannot open/use password protected stacks,
and the commercial DG Helper stacks are password protected.

I am using the commecrial version. Purchased a bundle....LiveCode commercial, Data Grid Helper and MobGui.
The Pdf that came with DGH only explains from where one changes the preferences. Prior to that how to copy it into the plugins folder.

Thanks

Hi Peter,

try to put your version of the datagrid helper into

/Users/UserName/Documents/My LiveCode/Plugins/ASG_DataGrid_Helper 1.6.3.rev

this is on Mac, on windows put it into the Documents/My LiveCode/Plugins/ASG_DataGrid_Helper 1.6.3.rev

If you dont have a "Plugins" folder in "My LiveCode" folder create one and put DGH stack into it. Restart Livecode and open it from the Develoment->Plug-ins menu

you should then see (see below)
help is in the right most button

now create a new stack and drag a new datagrid onto it. In edit mode double click on the datagrid in your new stack.
you now should be seeing (see below)
expand the different topics by clickin on the small + signs.

Kind regards
Bernd
