I've gone through typing in: key, keypad, numberpad, number, rawkey, assign, ? where are the commands or keywords to be found that control objects when the user hits the numbers on the right side of the keyboard, or keywords or commands that are associated with LC recognising the numbers on the numberpad being pressed?

Livecode does not differ the input sources, keypad or keyboard does not matter.
You are looking for the "keyDown" or "keyUp" message.
