Ticked Off

Post by MichaelUK » Tue Mar 18, 2014 3:26 pm

Hi i am new to livecode and am trying to follow the Ticked off videos on YouTube to make the Ticked Off App but i seem to be having a little trouble i am following the six videos on YouTube, but i would very much like to look at the final ticked off app including all the coding has i learn better by reading code rather then just watching videos can anyone help me and point in the direction of the finished app or at least a listing of the code used in it.

Many thanks
Michael

Hi Michael,
Welcome to the forum!

You've probably already found out that the Ticked Off stack was removed from the lessons so it's no longer available.
No one knows why, was a great stack.

If I recall correctly this lesson is similar;

Simon

Thanks for that lesson you posted, i think the ticked off app is now part the academy dvd, that is probably why it was taken down from the site. Will have to look for some more free tutorials as i want to be sure i enjoy using the software before dropping any money on training or the commercial version. Which there is a good possibility that i may do so in the near future as i have several ideas for apps and games that i would like to attempt to build i just have to make sure i have the right platform so to speak.

Micheal if you are still interested in the ticked off lesson series , I have the complete set( 6 lessons) pluss supporting materials.

the complete archive is

uncompressed 1.09 GB
or if you want it in zip format it shrinks down to 481 MB

( I don't know how RR will take to me offereng to share this little lot, which I downloaeded prior to the site being restructured. but I am sure if there is a mod perusing the threads I will bet an answer one way or another. )

good luck with learning LC and I think you will find it is a time saver once you get to grips with it. ;-)

I would be very interested in the ticked off videos and any relating files, if you are able to share without getting into trouble i have signed up to the academy to learn livecode but it does not seem that ticked off is one of the projects available, and this is one of the things i want to do is a task or to do list combined with other elements.

Aplogies for the delay in responding re your interest in the ticked off video series. I will get in touch with RR prior to sharing just to be on the safe side and if I get the go ahead will arrenge a share of the ticked off materials, its a thorough introduction. The academy is quite good but fast paced. meanwhile the link below includes a series of stacks you can freely download, they deal with Lc scripting in depth..

good luck will keep you posted regarding the ticked off series.
