I am brand new to LiveCode but have been unable to configure Mobile Support in order to get started. I have a Mavericks Mac desktop and a Ubuntu 14.04 laptop. I have Xcode and Eclipse android installed on the Mac and they both work independently so I know that the sdks are alive and well but I just can't seem to locate their locations to satisfy Mobile Support. I have installed the sdks on the laptop also and use Ecilpse and intelliJ on that platform but same issue with Mobile Support. Where are these sdks kept?

I hope that someone can help me with this or I'll be forced to abandon LiveCode I think.

I tried the suggested Linux tutorial but got stuck on the Configuring LiveCode for Android Support part. I stillcan't find the pathways . I think that this will have to go into the too hard basket. I just don't understand the configuration process I'm afraid. I'll give the Mac tutorial a go and if that doesn't work I'll give up.

What folder are you choosing in the mobile support pane in preferences? What's the path on disk?

It needs to be the folder that encloses the entire sdk. On my Mac it's at the root level of my hard drive but I think you can put it anywhere.

Once we get that figured out we need to make sure you've got all the right files downloaded.

I have the same problem. Says it's not a valid Android SDK. Have tried all variations of main folder, one down, one up, two up, and root.

Tried current SDK from Android home page. Don't have access to another. Like the cross-platform idea, but only if it works.

Matt, what is the file path to the folder you're using?

Also, you have to make sure you have downloaded everything in the SDK Manager for Android 2.2 and also for any other versions you want to run. I do skip the documentation and sample files, and the ones that are for specific devices that I don't have, but otherwise it needs everything. It's a massive download but you only have to do it once.

OK, RTFM. Needs at least both the target version and 2.2 to work. Only latest is selected by default, so need to add more.
