Field Cursor Position Looks Inaccurate on Mobile

Hello,
I have noticed in a few different apps now that the location of the cursor in LiveCode fields is just not right. The functional position of the cursor will be after a letter, but the visual location of the flickering cursor is actually ON TOP OF the letter. It looks bad, but it doesn't really seem to be the type of thing that I can adjust with script.
Is this a bug? A known issue?
I am noticing it on Android, both on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablet and my Motorola Droid Razr M.
ALSO,
I have been noticing another text field issue, where occasionally, it appears as if no "space" character is inserted visually into a typed string. The character is functionally there (i.e. if I type a space that doesn't show up, it still does take a backspace command to make it 'go away'), but the words on either side of it just appear to have been written as one word.
It looks really unprofessional, and seems as though the only way to visually correct it is to type two spaces. It doesn't ALWAYS occur, either, just on some words. Again, I have been noticing this on my Android devices.
These seem like LiveCode bugs or rough patches to me, but if anyone knows anything about this, or has also experienced it, please help direct me to a solution!
Thanks much.
Phil E.
