datagrid within datagrid good idea?

Hi Guys,
I'm working on a datagrid form which contains rows of information laid out neatly but not as a table. I now need the ability to add additional multiple line items to each row within my original datagrid form row. So I 'think' (I'm planning and looking for alternatives) I need a datagrid table within a row of a datagrid form. Before I mess up my datagrid form, has anyone done this successfully and is is possible or are the behaviours of the template going to get confusing?
