On my windows 8 tablet, touch and hold displays a square. When released the right click menu is displayed. Can I assume that an app run in windows 8 will receive the "3" value as the button number when this action is performed, or do I need to script that functionality into the app?

When I got home I was able to test this. It does in fact return the "3" value, so no extra scripting beyond handling the right click is necessary.
