LiveCode User Guide 3.9
Page 76, Find and Replace "Brings up the Code Editor's find and replace dialog."
Page 82, Figure 12 – Find and Replace, the "Search Results Area" is shown as several lines high.
My "Search Results Area" shows only one line with (for example) "5 objects found".
I can scroll through these 5 lines but cannot see results for all 5 objects at once.
The column titles can be shifted horizontally but there is no way to change the height of the "Search Results Are" field.
The fact that I am running Revolution 4.5 with original .REV files saving as .LIVECODE files shows that I am probably in an ecotone limbo area until I begin the regular subscription.
Meanwhile is there a way to get inside the "Find and Replace" dialog to change the height of the "Search Results Area"? Or a way to script this? Probably not.
Page 91:
"LiveCode windows are usually one of four types: editable or topLevel windows,
modal or modeless dialog boxes, or palette windows."
Page 94:
"Like unmodifiable stacks, modeless dialog boxes do not allow use of tools other than the
Browse tool"
"A modal dialog box...nor can you edit the stack using the tools in the Tools palette"
Obscure topic but kind of interesting.
