Is there User documentation???

Hi all.

I've been trying to find some kind of user manual. (I do have an old one from 2010! Surely, there must be something more current!)

Currently, on the LC site, clicking Resources, then User Guide brings us to a page that states "Coming Soon Documentation will be available online soon. For now you can access all documentation guides through the LiveCode Product".

In the LC program (7.0.6), Help/User Guide opens my pdf copy of the 2010 guide in Preview.
In the LC program (7.0.6), Help/Beginners Guide opens the web page mentioned above.
In the LC program (7.0.6), Help/All Guides opens the same web page.

Thanks.

The User Guide included with the product describes the IDE, object model, and language mechanics in ways that remain relevant in v7.x.

It's a good starting point for getting the lay of the land, and then using the Dictionary to learn the details of specific language features as you go.

Also included in the install are 78 tutorials, well worth exploring to see how various language elements work together.

Hi Richard. Thanks for your response.

Where exactly does the install (on Mac version of LC Community 7.0.6) put the user guide and tutorials? I've been looking but can't find them (other than a 2010 version of the user guide from a RunRev Studio install years ago...)

Thanks.

The installed tutorials can be found in the Resource Center stack, accessible from the IDE's "Resources" toolbar.
