Getting app to the stores

Post by ronniebellie » Sat Sep 19, 2015 4:23 pm

The last few months I embarked on what is for me an ambitious livecode project (I’m a college English teacher and not a developer like most of you). I help organize educational professional development conferences in the Northwest and in Canada. I’ve had a fair amount of experience with MySQL and query language the last 8 years. In the summer I purchased a livecode Indie license and started a conference app that accesses the conference MySQL database (conference presentation data) using Datatables in livecode. I also have the livecode app set up to access via browser instances pages on our site that are totally responsive and look good in the livecode app. One advantage of this is that we can update our site via FTP and get that info to those using the app the day of the conference, i.e, cancellations, room changes, etc. All seems to be going well with the app. But now I’m at a stand still. I need to know how to package the app for the Andriod and IOS stores and then get the app on those stores. I purchased the Apple Developers license. I frankly have no idea how to do any of this. For your information, I’m a Mac guy and do all this on the Mac.
