Hi all.

In the View menu, I selected Show Tab Bar.

I expected that I would find, afterwards, a menu item such as Hide Tab Bar...

Bad expectation!

How do I get rid of the Tab Bar?

you mean "Toolbar icons" or "Toolbar Text", right?
No "Show Tab Bar" in my "View" menu, LC 9.

Anyway, whatever you chose should show a check mark in the menu,
now just select that menuitem again to UNcheck it.

No, no. I mean the "Tab" bar (which appears underneath the window name).

No "Show Tab Bar" in my "View" menu, LC 9.

Well... I could have sworn that there was such an option under the View menu. And when I selected it, it did display a "tab bar" underneath the window name.

Except that now, I cannot re-create the problem!!!

Let's leave it at that for the moment. If the problem re-appears, I'll document it properly.

Actually, the same exact thing just happened to me. I cannot get the tab bar back either. The option is no longer available in the menu. Using LC Indy 9.5.1.

I cannot do a screen shot because the choice no longer is in the menu.

Same thing just happened to me. I thought I was going crazy. I don't have a screenshot of the menu item because, of course, the reference to "Tab Bar" has now disappeared, but I did a screenshot of a stack showing the problem.
Trouble is, when I try to submit this post, with the image, I get an error "You can’t post image, email or url links that are external to this domain...". So, I'll just have to type something here that shows you how to reconstruct the image URL. (Why is this so difficult?)

Anyway, update: I restarted LiveCode and the Tab Bars were still there, BUT... there was a menu item: "Hide Tab Bar", under the View menu. I selected it and the tab bars disappeared! Strangely though, now there's no "Show Tab Bar" menu item.

I first posed this a while ago. Some have it, some don't.

Go to the stack inspector and uncheck the "resizable" checkBox. You can go back and forth all day, but nobody has a good explanation why.
