Header widget first item label text is sticky even after emptying

1. Set the firstItemLeft of widget “Header” to true — (by default)
2. Set the itemStyle of widget “Header” to “icons” — label text shouldn’t show
The dictionary says, under “firstItemLeft”, “In some themes, the first action always has its label displayed when firstItemLeft is true. If you don't want this to happen, you can set the action's label to the empty string.” So,
3. set the itemLabels of widget "Header" of card "Alarm" to empty & ",Add"
The label text vanishes for the moment. Now, save, quit LC, and reopen; not only the text label is back but, worse, now the label says “New Item” (the placeholder name, since we set the label to empty).
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
