I subscribe to LiveCode Indy. The mergExt package is supposed to be included. Where do I find it when I downloaded LC 9.5.1 Indy? Do I download it separately? If so, where does it need to be located so that LC "sees" it... in Documents/LiveCode/Extensions folder on a Mac?
Or, just point me to instructions if you would prefer.
Thank you,
Linda

Hi Linda,
don't worry, everything is already at its correct place!
The mergExternals are part of the LC INDY installation and can be found somewhere inside of the Mac app package (Right-click: Show contents):
LiveCode Indy 9.5.1.app/Contents/Tools/Ext/
On Windows in the appropriate subfolder of the installation.
Best
Klaus

Thank you. I found the folder. There is nothing there with a prefix of "merg". Have the names changed since they were bought or contracted with Monte Goulding? (I corrected the name of the creator of the "merg" extensions.)

Hm, inside of that folder in my Application folder I find 28 subfolders:
mergAnswerColor-1.0.53
mergAV-4.0.41
...
...
mergSettings-2.0.50
mergSocial-1.0.58
each one containing the appropriate extension file with the .lcext suffix and docs etc.!
Correction:
These extensions are not created by Scott Rossi, but by Monte Goulding.
LC did not only buy these extensions from him, they also hired him after that!

Boy, a lot of new (to me) faces on that page now! {Not Monte, though}.

Not wanting to hijack this thread but, what goes through my mind is...seeing so much software developers developing the software we use and (hopefully) understand and can cope with, makes me feel a bit dumb and stupid, should i not be using c++ or python or java instead of LC which makes my programming life so much easier?
