Installing and uninstalling on Windows10 Pro 64

A funny story:

Went to install LiveCode and accidentally downloaded Community rather than Indy.

Realized my mistake and tried to uninstall.

Got the following message:

And then, I figured, well let me install Indy. Then this is what happened:

Any ideas?

An update:

I reinstalled Indy and it seems to be working.

I am still getting the (previously mentioned in another forum post) strange behavior with the "Interactive Welcome" tutorials/lessons, but at least it's installed.

Still can't get the Community version to uninstall though.

Well, one thing you *could* try is to navigate to the folder where the community version is installed, and click on the file named ".setup.exe" (you'll likely have to enable viewing hidden files to see it).

That will uninstall the version in the folder your in.

Another thing you *could* do is check the task manager to see whether there are any LiveCode updater processes running which need to be killed to allow the uninstall to proceed. Sometimes you also get LiveCode instances that start, but never render a visible window, so again they need to be killed, although restarting the computer should sort those ghost instances. The Updater is something that can autostart though, so could continue to prevent uninstall.
